About Us

Mission Statement

ONDS was established in 2016. Our society, provides leadership, advocacy and resources tat promote professional excellence and quality patient care in neurodiagnostics. As a membership organization, ONDS advances the field by serving member needs, defining and endorsing standards of practice, providing innovative educational opportunities, promoting the profession, and building coalitions in allied health and other communities of interest. Neurodiagnostics includes but is not limited to Autonomic Testing (AT), Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), Polysomnography/Sleep Technology (PSG), Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM), Long Term Monitoring (LTM), and Intensive Care Unit Continuous EEG Monitoring (ICU/cEEG)

Licensure

The Ohio Neurodiagnostic Society supports efforts to establish state licensure for neurodiagnostic technologists to ensure patient safety, professional accountability, and recognition of the field. Licensure would set consistent educational and competency standards, aligning Ohio with other allied health professions and reinforcing the importance of qualified technologists in patient care.
